News for July 2010

We wish to announce two more of my queens have now gained their titles to GD CH ------ these girls are GD CH Skybank Waltzing Matilda and GD CH Canastaexo Starburstdiffusion.  Also, a newcomer at Skybank Cattery is Richmaure Laura Ashley who has already made a name for herself in winning Best Group 1 Kitten,  plus getting placed 3rd & 4th in Top 10 of Entire Show.

Laura is a Tortie/Smoke Persian, born on 30th March 2010. The photo below was taken last week - viewers can guess how old I am by the wrinkles.

and reserve placing went to Skybank Fletcher Jones.

News for November 2009

In October we had our Launceston Royal Show, where Skybank Toprank Yank has now gained the Title of CCCA Ch Bronze Gd Ch. He will probably retire from the Show scene once he gains one more Title, which he should achieve by the end of this year.

We have reduced our number of breeding cats, even after the addition of three new imports. Currently we only have one litter of five born, and Betsy is due next week. We are hoping to announce very soon that Serenella & Starburst have been mated.

News for September 2009

We are patiently waiting for our gorgeous imports from Europe, and are so grateful to Pascal for the trust he has bestowed on Skybank. I am also grateful to my friends who contacted him-- assuring him of the love and care that will be given them.
We have another show on the 20th of this month, then two Royals in October.
Spring is here, and we look forward to the patter of little feet.

I have just received some very sad news from Dianne & Robin Smith, telling me of the passing of their much loved Silver Tabby Exotic

CCCA Ch Silver Gd Ch Premier Skybank Monseur Raphael
born on 8th September 2000, passed away 24th September 2009

He was well known to so many Australian and Overseas judges, as he won so many awards during his show career. I know if he could just talk to us he would say, "Please do not dwell upon my death, but celebrate my life".

News for August 2009

Skybank Waltzing Matilda has been very successful at a recent show.
We now have some queens pregnant, while several have retired and gone to loving homes as pets.
A new bloodline will be arriving shortly, with more particulars later.

Here it is, the beginning of August 2008, and news has been rather scarce during our winter months. At the moment several queens are getting mated, and we look forward to the Spring. The Tamar Valley Cat Club are having their first show for this year at the end of this month. With a new enthusiastic committee, we plan to have three shows next year.
